To travell across half a country

When i was like 12-13 years old, I went into a trip with my family, the longest i have ever had. not long because of the length i travelled, but the time we spent doing it.
it wasn´t a one day trip, it acctually took us a whole month or more time, accualy I can´t remember how long it was exactly.
But enough of that silly intoduction, where did I go? We made a travell across our country, Chile, well accually, the half part, to the south.
The main plan was to follow the Austral Highway to get to Punta Arenas, stoping in towns or other places wherever we could be able to sleep, all by car. We started from the centre, from Santiago, and we headed right to the south. the plan was to pack a lot of thing into a big ass truck, obviously, not a cargo truck, we packed a lot of clothes, food, wires and chargers, necessary things to use. we spented a lot of time mooving between townto town, we sometimes rented a room to sleep, sometimes a cabbin, and sometimes we camped in a tent.

The Austral Highway is located down southern. that road, crosses some very beautifull places like leafy forests, tall mountains, heaped rivers, and heavy rains. Somethimes the road leaded us throw argentina, that was the first time I leaved the contry.
Obviously in such a long trip, I have visited a lot f places, but the things that I enjoied the most where, to know the Argentinian pampa, where i watched a lot of  ñandus, llamas and flamingoes, To navigate throw the Marble Cathedrals, a natural monuent surrounded by literraly blue mineral water,

to visit the grounded village of villarica, a town covered by volcanic ashes, but accually that it still populated, to travel in a ferrie ship for the first time, when we moved from Panguipulli, to know Caleta Tortel, a town built arround a lake and fully made of wood, To visit The Milodon´s Cave, To Watch the Paine Towers, and to make it to the southernmost town in the world, Porvenir.
I have visited a lot of more places that i have already told like parks, museums, and towns, and made a lot of other things, but those behind were my favourites.
when we made it to Punta Arenas, at the third day we started the retourning trip home, wich took us like three days because we travelled really fast. That time we used the main highway, The last day we had a non stop 14 straight hours travell.
Those where my favourite holydays ´till now, because the much i stoped in the trip to learn some new things, to know such beautyfull places, and the bunch of food I ate.
